They hurt me deep, with words so cold,
And then they act, like I’m to blame, I’m told.
They expect me not, to feel the pain,
As if their actions, didn’t cause my heart to strain.
They minimize, my emotions so true,
And tell me I’m, overreacting, anew.
But how can I not, feel the weight of their deeds?
When their words cut deep, and their actions plant seeds.
Of doubt and fear, of anxiety and stress,
Of feeling small, and insignificant, I confess.
They hurt me, and then they don’t understand,
Why I’m still reeling, from the blows of their hand.
But I’m not overreacting, I’m just feeling deep,
The wounds they’ve inflicted, the scars that still seep.
So don’t tell me to, calm down or be strong,
Just acknowledge the hurt, and let the healing be long.
