Many claim to follow, but few truly know,
Their words and actions, a reflection to show.
They speak my name, but hearts are far away,
Their lives a contradiction, day by day.
It’s not enough to call out, to utter my name,
One must live according to my teachings, and walk in my way.
I seek the genuine, with hearts pure and true,
Whose actions reflect their faith, and love shines through.
Why do you call me Lord, yet live as your own master?
Why claim to be mine, yet ignore my words, and disregard my pastor?
True faith is more than words, it’s a life that’s lived,
A life of surrender, obedience, and love that’s given.
I ask you, dear one, why do you call me Lord?
If you do not do the things that I say, and ignore my word?
Is it just a title, a mere empty claim?
Or is it a relationship, built on love and faith’s frame?
Let your yes be yes, and your no be no,
Let your actions speak louder, than the words you know.
Live a life that honors me, with every breath you take,
And I’ll be your Lord, your Savior, your heart’s stake.
